Sushi Plaza is evolving. We have a new logo and a refreshed website, our Viimsi restaurant has moved, and our recently opened Maakri and Kalamaja restaurants bring you two distinctive dinner experiences inspired by Japanese cuisine.
Behind all these changes is one ambition: to develop Japanese food culture in Estonia and offer more ways to discover it. Your familiar Sushi Plaza favourites are here to stay — alongside new flavours, menus and reasons to gather around the table.
**Sushi & Sashimi in Maakri: fine ingredients and pure flavours**
At our restaurant at Maakri 23a, you will find Sushi & Sashimi — our Japanese fine dining concept, centred on carefully selected ingredients, the head chef’s individual style and attention to detail.
Here, the quality of the fish, precise cuts and the pure flavours of sushi and sashimi take centre stage. The menu features nigiri, sashimi selections and more creative dishes. An elegant dining room and a calm atmosphere invite you to slow down and savour your dinner.
The Sushi & Sashimi menu is available every day from 17:00.
**Izakaya in Kalamaja: a Tokyo evening, sharing plates and cocktails**
At Vana-Kalamaja 10, Izakaya reveals another side of Japanese food culture: a lively, sociable evening where food, drinks and time spent together matter equally.
Izakaya’s special menu invites you to share dishes and explore new flavours. Cocktails play an equally important role, giving the evening its own character. This is a place to meet friends, enjoy dinner and settle into conversations that might continue over another drink.
Maakri and Izakaya represent two distinct sides of our premium restaurants: one celebrates ingredients and purity, while the other captures the energy of a Tokyo evening.
**Sushi Plaza Viimsi’s new home is in Viimsi Mool**
Sushi Plaza Viimsi is now in Viimsi Mool, at Randvere tee 6. At the new location, you can dine in, take your favourites away or order home delivery.
The Viimsi menu features the familiar Sushi Plaza flavours you have grown to love over the years.
**Chicken tempura is here to stay**
Change does not mean giving up your favourites. Sushi Plaza’s classic menu is still available at all three locations — Maakri, Kalamaja and Viimsi — for both dining in and takeaway.
Your familiar favourites remain available alongside the special evening menus at Maakri and Izakaya, too. If one of you wants to try sashimi and the other prefers chicken tempura, you can both enjoy your evening your own way, at the same table.
**A new look and a clear direction**
Our redesigned logo and refreshed website mark this new chapter. We want to highlight the distinct character of each restaurant more clearly and help you find the right place for a quick lunch, a takeaway or a leisurely dinner.
Our ongoing goal is to develop Japanese food culture in Estonia: to introduce its diversity, celebrate ingredients and culinary skills, and share our knowledge through sushi classes as well.
